How to use it

1. Download the A4 or US Letter PDF (or the low-ink edition) and print it at home or at a print shop.
2. Fill it in by hand in pen; it is not a fillable file. Start with Key Contacts and the bills tables, and aim to finish in one or two sittings.
3. Convert each bill to a monthly amount using the worked examples, then add up each column and write the totals on the lines provided.
4. Write only the last 4 digits of accounts and never write passwords; note where your password manager and recovery codes are kept.
5. Write the How Our Money Flows pages in your own words, then show the binder to your partner or adult child.
6. Cut out the Handover Prompt Cards and use them together, then repeat the 20-minute Quarterly Review Drill every three months.
7. Store the binder somewhere safe that two trusted people know about.
